Support > Boot up

If we refer to having a boot up problem, means that we cannot start up our computer at all and we could have one of the following reasons:

  • Hardware failure

  • Operative system failure

Depending on which of the above is our reason for the boot up failure, our approach will change in the determination of the solution.

If we are presented with one of the following:

  • No power either to the monitor or the case (the screen is black and no lights on the box)

  • Pictures on the screen and a series of beeps coming from the pc

  • Error message on the screen such as: Hard disk failure, cannot read drive C: or Keyboard error

  • Once Windows starts the message: the mouse is not present appears

If instead we are presented with one of the following :

  • After an initial start of Windows, the system hangs and nothing happens or reboots

  • During the Windows loading a black screen appears saying : System stopped, restart Windows

  • During the Windows loading a black screen appears saying : A file either in the registry or system.ini could not be found / loaded ( name like nav32.vdx for example )

  • During the Windows loading a blue screen appears saying : System stopped ...

  • During the startup, Windows restarts by itself and will loop without going anywhere
